“Smoking is injurious to one’s life” is what we all have come across once we pick those cigarettes from the box.  Latest researchers have said that women are more affected by smoke as compared to men in general. It is not only culture that forbids women from smoking. Also science has been in a way forbidding one from smoking.

The biological conditioning and the way a woman is designed is different as compared to the man. It has been noticed that the absorption rate of carcinogens and the other toxic agents from the cigarettes are higher in men as compared to the women.

Also researchers have mentioned that the risk of a woman suffering from cardiovascular problem increases by 25%. Also it has been seen that way women smoke differs from the way men smoke. Even if women smoke less than men, they tend to absorb more smoke comparatively.

This habit of women consuming tobacco has been raising steadily in USA and other developed countries. On the other hand, women in the developing countries are beginning to get conditioned this habit. The tobacco industry seems to be considering women as their new target audience. Also women who smoke can experience pregnancy related problems with increased smoking.

Research by AARP and many other government organizations have discovered a relation between fertility and mortality. This time the dads are considered to be having an edge over the ones who are infertile as per the research. Around 1380000 men are being a part of this study involving the interconnection between one’s testosterone level and one’s life span. This research does not fetch any fixed conclusions but only reveals the result of the research.

DR. Michael Isenberg has been working a health expert working in Standard University as an urologist with profound knowledge on fertility. He has been reported saying that fatherhood is an indication of a man’s healthfulness. He has also mentioned that testosterone levels are not mere signs of one’s fertility but is a component of one’s health. Increase or decrease in the levels of testosterone surely implies an underlying problem. This can actually lead to the decrease in the level of good cholesterol making one prone to arteriosclerosis and cardiovascular problems.

The experts are unable to understand if the increase in lifespan is owing to the psychological contentment that comes with the nurturing of the child.
